WHO ARE WE AS A CHURCH

We here at Calvary Visalia adhere to the wisdom taught by Calvary Chapel founder, the late Pastor Chuck Smith, that it is important to not teach about the Bible or from the Bible, rather it is essential to teach through the Bible.  So we teach book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, from Genesis to Revelation.  We believe in teaching the whole counsel of God so as to learn all that God has so graciously given to us.

A Look Back with Pastor Bob and Gayle Grenier

40 years of Reflections

Thank you for taking your time to visit the Church’s new website. Along with the new, is often a time, to reflect on how you got where you are today.

Pastor Bob and I are coming up on our 40th year of ministry at Calvary Visalia in July of 2018. We can hardly believe how time flies. It has been one of the tremendous blessings in both of our lives to serve alongside so many of you. His faithful servants.

Pastor Bob Grenier Gayle Grenier Calvary Chapel Visalia ChurchPastor Bob and I wanted to give you a bit of history about the beginning of the Church God planted here in Visalia. And some other details about how we met and some of the unexpected things that come along in life. I’m not sure we have ever taken the opportunity to reflect in this personal of a way. Or I haven’t anyway. I do know that Bob and I wish we had another 40 years ahead of us to continue seeing God being in the business of saving people’s lives. It still amazes both of us.

In Him,

Pastor Bob and Gayle Grenier

You can tithe from your phone.

It keeps the first things first. The Bible indicates giving is to be a “first” and not a last or leftover matter in our lives. Read Proverbs 3:9-10. It is easy to let our intentions be compromised by the pressure of expenses and billing cycles. Now you can tithe from your phone.
